Barolo D.O.C.G.
Year
1937: we are already in the region of Monforte
d'Alba. On Surì Disa, a hill at 300 metres on the
sea level with exposure at the south-east, there
have been planted vines of Nebbiolo, of the
varieties Lampia (80%) and Michet (20%). Today we still own 3700 of that implantation, from which we manage to produce 3500 bottles of Barolo.
The mature age of this vineyard and the sunny position in which we manage to produce a Barolo particularly strong and complex, but extraordinarily balanced, thanks to a careful refinement of 2 years in big casks of Slavonia oak and of another at least 2 years to stand in bottles.
A huge results is the Barolo 2000: wine of red garnet color, of delicate bouquet, ethereal and intense, spiced whit a note of vanilla and very ripe forest fruits, to which is added a mineral feel. Very rich to the palte, it is notably tannic and therefore ideal for a long maturing period.
